🐴 Horse Scanner — User Guide

Compatible only with official Amaretto Horses by Amaretto. The Scanner only reads your horses — it never moves, copies or changes them.

What it is

The Horse Scanner is a small prim you rez on your land. It periodically detects every rezzed Amaretto Horse and bundle around it and uploads the list to your private web page — the Scanner Herd. From the web page you see all your horses at a glance, with their stats, position and region, and you can put them on sale.

Scanner vs Organizer — what's the difference?

Organizer & Vendor	Scanner
Stores horses inside a prim (an archive).	Reads horses rezzed out on your land.
You take items in/out of the prim.	You don't touch the horses — it just detects them.
Good for tidy storage & vendor delivery.	Good for seeing your whole live herd across sims.

Installation

Rez the Horse Scanner prim near your horses (ideally centered on the land).
Touch it → REGISTER. You receive an IM with your web username and password (first time only).
It scans automatically and uploads what it finds. Use SCAN to force a scan now.
Put one Scanner per region for full coverage; each region shows up as its own "scanner" in the web filter.

A scan reads only prims within the perimeter (range). Set it from the menu: PERIMETER → 30m / 50m / 80m / 96m. Bigger range = more horses detected.

The web page (Scanner Herd)

Open it from the prim menu (OPEN WEB, auto-login) or at dataservicesl.com/horses_scanner_herd.php. Each row is one detected horse or bundle.

Columns

Column	Meaning
Type	🐴 horse or 🥚 bundle. A NEW badge means it was detected in the last 24 hours — handy to spot new hatchlings.
Name	The horse's name.
Sex	♂ male / ♀ female (hover for the label).
Age · 🔥 · ⚡ · 😊 · 🍴	Age (days), Ardor/Zeal, Charged, Mood, Aether — a snapshot from the last scan (not live).
Genos · Scale	Genos count and Scale (size).
Region	Click it to teleport straight to the horse in-world.
Note	Type your own note and it saves automatically.
Price L$ / Action	Set a price and click Sell to list it; Unlist removes it from sale.

Filters & tools

All / 🐴 Horses / 🥚 Bundles — switch what's shown.
Scanner (region) selector — show only one region's herd, or all.
Search — find by name. Click any column header to sort.
📄 PDF export, 📱 Phone (QR to open on mobile), 🔑 PASS (change password).

Selling

Set a price in the row and click Sell — the horse is listed on your Seller Area and the Global Market. Tick several checkboxes and use 🏷 Sell selected to list many at once (each keeps its own price). Click Unlist to take one off sale.

Switch between your scanners

If you also own a Horse Scanner, a 🐴 Horse Scanner button appears in the top bar (and a 🐴 Horse Scanner button on the horses page), so you can jump between the two herds.

Prim menu buttons

`REGISTER`	Register this Scanner (first run).
`SCAN` / `STOP SCAN`	Force a scan now / stop it.
`STATUS`	Info: detected count, region, memory.
`PASS WEB`	Get your username / password.
`OPEN WEB`	Open your Scanner Herd page (auto-login).
`PERIMETER`	Set detection range: 30 / 50 / 80 / 96 m.
`HIDE` / `SHOW`	Hide or show the prim.

Tips

Stats are a snapshot from the last scan, so a value may differ slightly from the live in-world menu — run SCAN to refresh.
One Scanner per region; raise the perimeter if some horses are missing.
New hatchlings appear with the NEW badge for 24 hours.
